Some restaurants I recommend...
Restaurant "La Escollera" in Estepona
This restaurant is located on the harbor and specializes in fish. Freshly caught of the day, the fish served as a main course or "tapas" version are delicious. The staff is very efficient... Be careful, due to its popularity, this restaurant is very busy and it is not possible to reserve. But we are on holiday... Let's wait for a table while having a drink (the waiting time is never very long)
Restaurant "MaryMar"
The "Restaurante Marymar" is located along the beach, on the promenade in Sabinillas. It is an excellent restaurant which offers a wide variety of fish cooked over a wood fire directly on the beach. It is a typical cuisine of the region. The staff are friendly and what more could you ask for than enjoying a delicious fish caught the same day, along the beach?

I suggest 4 restaurants that we particularly like, each with its own style... The value for money of these restaurants is always very good.
We are always delighted with our evening spent at "Venta La Choza". The food is excellent! And the staff very welcoming and helpful. It is a Mediterranean cuisine with also more classic dishes such as "entrecote with sauce of your choice"... You can taste several typical dishes such as their delicious seafood paella, oxtail or "pimientos" del piquillo ". You will have a choice of varied fish as well as meats or poultry...
Restaurant "Venta La Choza"
The restaurant is 500 meters from the apartment.
"Chiringuito Paco" in Estepona
"Chiringuito" is the name given to the small restaurants on the beaches. It is a typical restaurant of the region which is located on the beach. You eat there with your feet in the sand or not... This restaurant is located on the promenade in Estepona (10 minutes drive from the apartment). You will mainly taste grilled fish but not only. The choice is large and varied. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

History of the Costa del Golf
The Costa del Golf came into the limelight in 1926 when the first golf course, Real Club del Campo, was founded. Today it is known as “Parador del Golf de Málaga”. Since then, golf enthusiasts have gathered there every year, their numbers increasing every year.
This growing demand has prompted the authorities to build more and more golf courses and nowadays the Costa del Golf is home to more than 70 golf courses where professionals and amateurs alike can practice daily.
Why are golf professionals and amateurs alike fans of the Costa del Golf ?
The geographical location of the Costa del Golf is one of the main reasons that made it famous. Indeed, the Costa del Sol (as its name suggests), it is on average 300 days of sunshine a year, that is to say ideal conditions for practicing an outdoor sport like the golf. In addition, the temperature is high all year round and rainfall is scarce. Our beautiful little white village of Casares is located about twenty minutes from the coast.
There you will see the remains of an Arab castle, the Blas Infante museum, father of the Andalusian homeland and born here in Casares....
You can walk through its typical little streets or enjoy a good meal in one of the very good restaurants in the village...
You will see many varieties of birds such as monk vultures for example which always overlook Casares or you can choose to do a hiking circuit, they are many and varied...
Let yourself be carried away in a typical Andalusian atmosphere !
Doñana National Park
Carefully placed observatories allow you to enjoy wonderful shows, such as a group of seagulls flying over the coast at dusk. There is also the possibility of sailing on the Guadalquivir aboard the "Real Fernando", which reaches the less frequented places of the park. Finally, several private organizations offer carriage rides through the town of El Rocío and the different ecosystems of Doñana. The audiovisual projections of the six visitor centers on the different sensations transmitted by the park, or the possibility of picnicking in the areas reserved for this purpose complete the offer of Doñana.
Magnificent ! 1h30 from the apartment ... Worth the trip !!!
